Hi,
My father in law died due to sudden heart attack and without any will, he was working in Central Govt(defence) and got married twice. First wife passed away
15 years back and they have two girls with them, he got married again and have another girl with them. Overall the family members left are second wife, 3
daughters. Eldest daughter is married to me, second daughter is around 25 yrs of age and the youngest one around 15 years of age. I have few questions,
appreciate if you can answer and help us at this critical stage.
Since my mother in law is a step mom, my wife and her immediate sister relations are not cordial since beginging.
1) Can my wife(eldest daughter) and second sister claim their appropriate share from Government for the funds which will be passed on after my father in law
death. Basically PF, Gratuity, Arrears etc etc
2) If they can claim then what should be our next step ?
3) What would be the appropriate portion of shares divided among 4 of them?
4) We dont kn
Wanted to add mother is law is already working as Central Govt Emp(india) and earning more than 60k PM. We are more worried about second daughter since she is not yet married and also afraid step mother may not support her/or give funds for marriage etc. Youngest one is still safe since her mother is working and well settled.

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
For those of you you have not yet read this is the scripture-
1Cr 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Cr 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Okay!.....here it goes.....we both male are have been the best of friends for nearly 19 years. how ever I think hes gay or at least in the closet.....I am gay and out. I have a boy friend of 5 years...I am very happy. Yet somehow I think my best friend is gay and/or inlove with me or something. When we were younger we experiemented with touching and running around the house naked at night, skinny dipping, getting off together alot, all of which he initiated. That all ended when his mom found out about the notes that we would write back and forth. They weren't love letters, but they were very private letters between us. After she found out, she fliped on him about what was written in them. Suddenly she started dating girls.......(yeah isn't that funny)......next thing I know.....he doesn't want to talk to me....and for the next 8 years.......we didn't speak......then my sister died and he comes to the viewing with his wife and the next thing I know....we are talking up a storm.......after that.....we are talking nearly everyday.....and when we talk I have to be the first one to Hang up....he doesn't seem to want to end the call. From what I can tell his relationship with his wife is ......odd......they seem like they are married out of a convenience.....yet when i went down to visit him his home ( he was on vacation that week)....his wife was a work and he was at home with their 22 month old daughter......for 6 hours we talked and goofed off.....and then I noticed he caught a look at my crotch while i was standing in the doorway at one point, also for spending the day at home.....he was dressed nicely. Oh yeah, i talked to him about gay sex...for 3 hours....and he never once seemed to have a problem......its like he wanted to hear about it. He told me that his wife told him before she went to work that she didn't want us upstairs getting into the top dresser drawer....and he asked her why....she said she didin't want to come home to find that I got him to stick a dildo up his a**...he told me he called her a dam hog.......then when she came home.....he said something to her..(i dont remember what he said to her)....but she looked right at him and called him a f*g......and he got real defensive......and all he did was......got in her face....and pointed at me and said......call hi
so last night i had a dream where i was at a family members house, and this family member has 3 young kids. a lot happened in my dream, but there was one part where the middle child came up to me (oh, and in my dream i knew that it was them but it looked like completely different children) but she came up to me and whispered, "can I show you something?? please can i show you! but you have to promise me that you won't tell mom! you have to promise" so I said, "okay show me." she then lifted up her shirt and showed me her back and said "look what i did!!! i fell" and down her back were these three INSANELY deep scratches. they weren't bleeding but they were vast and open and when i got closer i could see inside of her but there was some blood, some little chunks of muscle, and then the rest was completely hollow, like i was looking into an empty jar. so i gasped and starting crying and asked her if it hurt at all. and she said no. and then I told her that she absolutely had to tell her mom, and she asked why. i told her she had to tell her so she could get help and close the wounds bc otherwise they would get infected. she looked very happy and said "okay!! i'll tell mommy." she ran off and then some time passed and eventually i saw her mom. i asked her if she talked to her daughter and she said no. i told her "you have to talk to her!!!! you have to talk. hold on let me go get her." i tried telling her what was wrong but i couldnt get it out. so i spent the rest of the dream looking for the girl but couldn't find her anywhere!!!!
could you help me interpret this dream?? writing it now, i thought about how my mom told me that i had to quit smoking and i promised her i would, but i've still been smoking. could it be about my guilt for hiding it from her??
thank you for reading this!!! and i'll appreciate any answers.
Its called the Lake and Please only constructive criticism.
The Lake
It all started when Opal Henry was a little girl. She wasnt normal with her deep purple eyes and fair skin. She had lived in Lakeront all her life. Same house, Same furniture, Same Everything. One day when her mother came home from word she found her daughter spellingn 'Be gone, Be gone' on every wall in red paint. Her mother screamed at her in fury and Opal had to wash every wall. The next day her mother was pronounced dead floating in the lake next door.
Its been 63 years since that day and Opal can still tell you very clearly of what happened. While Opal was watering her moonflower she notcied a young boy fishing on a boat near the deep end of the lake. A grin quickly began spreading to her thin lips. What she didnt know was that the young boy's "big catch" was actually a human hand. She saw the shocked boys face and Thought, He musnt ever Know. Now I must kill the little retch before he screaches.
Its for a project in school
My fiance recently received some devastating news reguarding his young daughter. How do I comfort him....Do I just give him some space or smother him with love and support?
how would you handle this.
here is my situation. My Niece "Becca" (not her real name) was raped she was fearful of what her rapist would do if she told anyone. Her rapist is her mother's current boyfriend. There is no longer any proof that this happened, the rape happened 6 years ago, my niece is only 15 right now. I am generally a peaceful man but I want to murder this guy. The story about the rape came out after almost 1 year old therapy, I can't believe this young woman is living with this, and no one knew a thing. My sister is a drug addict and she actually allowed my neice to be around some of the most shady people, my poor neice was molested at age 12 by my sisters drug dealer, he is in jail I find out now that the drug dealer molested her and gave my sisters boyfriend drugs as payment for it. Now my sister is saying that her boyfriend is innocent and "my daughter is nothing but a skinny little liar who hates men."
I want to strangle my sister
I just need some outside guidance, any opinions or comments will be appreciated.
fyi: my niece and her sisters have been living with me for about 1 year now because they were taken away from my sister by the police.

Slipping quietly out of the door, Kelly O’Byrne immediately felt the cool breeze on her face. Though the sun had already risen, a chilly mist still hung in the air, making the atmosphere feel damp and cold. Walking a little ways along the grassy green hills, Kelly listened for any sounds in the early morning, but all was peaceful and still. After a while, she came upon a steep hillside which she then proceeded to climb. Slightly tall for her fourteen years, this was not a difficult task for her. Finally, she reached her destination – a small cliff leaning out over the Irish Sea. It had become her favorite spot; she never grew weary of gazing dreamily out to the waters. Sitting down on the soft grass, she smoothed her dress, and brushed her long, black hair back out of her face. Her swirly deep blue eyes very much resembled the Irish Sea that she loved to gaze at. Though she loved dreaming about other distant lands, she was perfectly satisfied to remain in her hometown of Bray, where she had grown up. Who wouldn’t? How could anyone not love its rolling green hills, enormous mountains, and misty valleys? Who could grow tired of its lush green forests or beautiful rivers that stretched across the land? In Kelly’s mind, it was heaven on earth.
Far down below, a dog barked. Glancing down, Kelly saw the people of Bray beginning to wake up and get to work. Still, she remained where she was, watching the waves gently lap against one another, crashing against the shore. Startled, Kelly looked up, and stared out in the distance. Squinting her eyes, she looked harder. Still unable to distinguish just what it was that she was looking at, she tried once again, to look past the mist. Suddenly, she saw it: The serpent-like head protruding from the narrow ship. Vikings!
Fear immediately struck Kelly’s heart. For a few seconds, she stood frozen on the cliff unsure of what to do. Finally what her brain was saying to her legs registered and she began to run. Jumping down the steep cliffs, she slipped cutting her leg on a sharp rock. She ignored the pain - her only thought was to warn the people of Bray. Terrified, she ran on. Swiftly, she jumped over the steep cliffs, and ran down the dangerous slopes. Slipping and falling numerous times, she pushed on. Fear defined her eyes as she continued to sprint down the mountain.
As she ran, Kelly thought about the last Viking raid. She did not remember – she was only four. But she heard stories from the older villagers, about how the Vikings had stolen from the people, taken a few captives, and even burned down some of the buildings. They had tried to burn the monastery, causing an excessive amount of damage. Over the years, it was repaired, but still, on one side, you could run your fingers over the wall and feel the burnt wood. The people of Bray were terrified after that, so they worked together to build a safe-house in case it would ever happen again. Everyone dreaded the day when the bells of the monastery would ring signaling danger.
Slipping again, Kelly forced herself to calm down. Finally reaching the bottom of the mountain, she raced across the green hills toward her home. She burst in the doorway to find her mother cooking breakfast over the stove, and her father telling the younger children a story at the kitchen table. She exclaimed, “Father, Vikings! I saw the ship coming from the North!” The peaceful atmosphere was immediately broken.
Mrs. O’Byrne turned pale, and Clara, the youngest of the family, began to cry. The twins, Thomas and Daniel, looked at one another with scared faces. Mr. O’Byrne quickly rose from his seat. Without questioning his daughter further he turned to his wife and said, “Grab some food! Everybody must get to the safe-house!”
Turning to Kelly, he ordered, “Quick, run to the monastery! Tell them to ring the bells! Warn anybody that you see along the way, and hurry back to the safe-house – we’ll meet you there.”
Quick to do her father’s bidding, she began to run to the monastery. Along the way, she shouted to the people, “Quick, get to the safe-house! Vikings! Hurry!”
The looks of puzzlement turned to alarm when they heard the word “Vikings” and they rushed to find their children and run to the safe-house. In a matter of minutes, the whole village was in uproar. Fear was etched in every face, as parents searched for their children, and fathers helped their families into the safe-house on the edge of the village. Continuing to run, Kelly shouted, “The bells! Ring the bells!” But even as she ran up to the monastery, the great bells had already begun to chime.
Kelly stopped, and turned beginning to run for the safe-house. Suddenly feeling very tired and dizzy, Kelly stopped running. Looking around, she saw no one. Telling herself to push on to get to the safe-house, she began to
the movie opens with 2 brothers and they shoot their parents in bed, years later they break out of prison and take a family hostage, the mum goes with the older brother and teenage daughter with the younger one, they have some sort of weird underworld thing like under the house and they all shoot eachother and die, the only person that survives is the little girl. pretty sure one of the bros names is james or last name or something. watched it years ago
i have 5 daughters and every single one is a procrastinator ESPECIALLY the 3 oldest who are 18, 15, and 12.
The oldest, "Carmen" is in college and so I don't get onto her for not doing homework. She is an adult and if she has to stay up all night because she procrastinated on a paper, that is her problem, she asked for it.
My second eldest and 2 youngest (who are 10 and 7) put stuff off but if you get onto them enough they'll eventually do their work before the deadline.
It's my 12 year old, "Joy" I have the biggest problem with. It does not matter if you yell, threaten, scream, whatever. She refuses to start her homework until after 9 o clock. She'll act like she's going to do it, and then she sneaks out to watch tv with the others. Every night it's a constant battle.
Recently though, Carmen and Joy have really become close. I know Joy looks up to her older sister and I have become extremely grateful that Carmen actually allows her in her life and does stuff with her instead of what i did with my little sister (pretty much the old classic story of "go away kid leave me alone"). She'll take Joy joggin with her and lets her tag along when she goes out with friends, so when the constant homework battle is going on she eventually gets tired of the fighting and says "lets go Joy, i'll help you get it done" or something like that. and of course joy doesn't put up one bit of a fight.
well they're gone for about 30-45 min and the homeworks done, when it usually takes joy at least an hour and a half with me hanging over her shoulder.
i have a feeling that carmen is doing the homework for joy and thats why joy puts up a fight every night. she knows that if she puts it off long enough, it gets too late and carmen will give in and do it for her.
what can i do about this and stop the procrastination?
My partner has three children aged 14, 8 and 4.
They lost thier mother three years ago and I have been dating their dad for the past five/six months.
At first they were fine with me, the two girls (14 and 4) would go shopping and his son (8) loved it when I went to watch his football games.
But recently the 14 year old has suddenly decided she doesn't like me. She finds anything to start an argument with me and has begun to turn her younger brother and sister against me.
She tells them that I'm not thier mother so they shouldn't listen to me and things like that. However, thier dad tells them that I do have authority with them and they do have to listen to me.
I feel like I'm fighting a loosing battle with the oldest girl and feel the younger two children are listening to thier sister.
I have tried having nights in with her - just me and her with a film/take-away but she won't be how we were used to be.
How can I get her to be like we were two months ago when we got along?
My partner is on my side and he will always tell his children that I have to be listened to and he will punish his daughter when she starts arguments with me. (if she is in the wrong) If I am in the wrong I always apologise.
Has anyone got any advice on how to be a friend and 'parent' to the children?
Her relationship with her dad hasn't changed. She doesn'y argue with him, whenever he tells her that I am somebody to be listened to, she'll just have an argument with me. And most of the time I'm not even there when her dad talks to her.
I make it sound bad by saying "Baby Daddy" lol but me and this guy have been on an off for three years now and we have a 6months old daughter. i have a daughter that needs a new website to go on.
Sexuality fascinates me. Relationships and human behaviour fascinate me. The only books I read are relationship, self help and parenting (I have a young daughter). I've been really back and forth with what I want to do as a career but it seems to always come back to counselling.
I'll be booking an appointment with the university here, but I just wanted to see if anyone here knows first.
I'm assuming I would need the 4-year psychology degree first. Then another few years of counselling, then would it be more schooling on top of that to specialize in sex therapy? Am I looking at 7 or 8 years or so? lol yikes...
I was just picking up in my daughters room, she is five years old, and I noticed a pair of underwear with a yellow like discharge on it. It was quite a bit. I don't recall having that happen to me at such a young age. Does anyone know if this is normal or not?
I have been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years now and we have 2 kids together. Before my current boyfriend I dated a guy for 4 years and we loved each other dearly but because we both young and immature we used to quarrel a lot . I moved to the states and met my now boyfriend and my ex stayed in England .We actually never split up , we kept in contact and tried the long distance thing for almost a year until i met my boyfriend and i told him about it but we kept , talking and texting. We both know we still have feelings for each other but cause i am with someone else we never acted upon it . But we see ourselves calling each other almost everyday now and we recently decided to meet somewhere during my vacation which i am taking solely for the purpose to meet him . I am so torn and not wanting my kids to loose the home they have with their dad . I love my boyfriend but not in love with him . I know for sure that what i used to and still feel for my ex is totally different from what i feel for my boyfriend. I already feel guilty so please dont judge. i just need some advice and need to understand why is it that i can't get my ex out of my mind after so long.( FYI . We havent talked for almost 9 months when i had my first daughter cause he was so pissed at me )
I've been wondering about this since I was young. I'm not a Catholic, and do not have the full view of their practices and don't mean to insult anyone. I want to hear what you guys think about these
- They pray to Mary. Wouldn't that be idolatry in a way? Even though she was the physical mother of Jesus, would that make her of such importance to be treated as a medium to connecting to God? Especially the "Hail Mary" where they sound like they're worshiping her.
- Confessions. Why do Catholics have to confess to the priest? I heard they believe that when they confess they are acquitted from their sin. Isn't the only way to forgiveness through God? I also heard it was used as a form of blackmail in past times.
- They believe in purgatory. Where in the Bible does it mention anything about purgatory?
- Also they have more books in their Bible. Where do those books come from?
- Why is there a hierarchy of power in the Catholic church? Especially cases of people bribing their way to "pope" status for the power alone.
- Why do the priests need approval from the church to carry out exorcisms? Why should they need approval if they have the faith to do it? What's the reason behind needing the approval?
- Not to generalize, but why are some of them so zealous? I once saw a Catholic newsletter where it applauded a mother who threatened to kill her daughter if she became a protestant.
Thanks for your feedback. Again I don't mean to insult anyone, just curious. Have an open mind
Thanks for your answers. I really appreciate it. I think I put it in the wrong context - I never meant to accuse Catholics of anything, I just wanted to learn more about what they believe in. About the pope statement - I was referring mainly to the dark ages, along with the selling of indulgences. And I saw the article a few years back from my grandmother's church i think, don't take it too seriously i may be wrong. but then again people are people, they can write anything. Thanks for giving me the chance to learn so much. I believe that most Catholics are good people, i have close friends who are Catholics, so it made me curious.
My mother in law is way too into my pregnancy. She is driving me crazy and the baby is not even here yet!!
I am in the hospital under bed rest because i have preeclampsia and OC and i am allowed visitors between 9am and 9pm. which is great... just not so great when she is up here from 3 to 9 EVERYDAY,
At first it was sweet. "Oh she wants to be involved with the baby" which is now becoming a hassle. I have talked to my nurses about it. and they said they can ask all the visitors to leave after a certain time. but most of the time i have other visitors there. And when i dont if they ask them to leave i then get the "no visitors" sign on my door that night because "im tired" its policy and i completely understand.
My fiancee and I do live with her and my father-in-law who is great. They have allowed us to live there for 300 a month bills paid. (excluding car, insurance, cell..etc thats just utilities. so i am VERY thankful) but now she is controlling everything, including future plans with my daughter?!?! (making baby food the way things are done, schedules...etc) I havent even been given the chance to try.
She answers the questions my DOCTOR asks ME about how i feel she gripes to the nurses when something isnt done her way or when they come in too often or when my vitals are high or when i need somthing and havent been given the oppertunity to ask for myself!! ... well hell why dont you just carry the baby for me is about how i feel now. she doesnt ask how i feel about the circumstances nor does she care she just butts in.
Last week (behind my back) she went to the nurses station and full on told them my doctor doesnt know what he is doing the staff is awful and she will never come to this hospital again. WTF I really think my doctor is doing a wonderful job considering what i am going through, and all he wants is to carry me to term. (he is inducing me in 11days at 37w) My mother in law has fought this too!! she argued with the doctor telling him the baby needs to be born now because my condition and has tried to induce my labor several times on her own. (via--casteroil walking etc...) which i have blatenly told her no. SEVERAL TIMES
I am young but i can do this. My own mother is not like this.
I have talked to my fiancee about this. he said i need to talk to her... i dont know what to say and in a way i want him to say something... its his mother. the baby is not here and she is trying to play "mom" to her already... i am at wits end...and i know this isnt going to turn out well...
please help.
thanks in advance.
I have a friend my age who has a daughter that is 2 months younger than my daughter, who is 2. Her daughter is behind the "developmental standards" that you see online and what not, and my daughter is far, far ahead.
Well, when I have friends ask me about my daughter and she is around I feel bad answering. I know this stuff really matters to her. I don't brag. I just say this is what she's up to and what she's learned lately. I even feel bad writing anything on Facebook for my other friends and family to see because she can see it too.
Honestly, this stuff doesn't matter to me. I know it matters to her though and it makes her feel bad. Whenever her daughter does something new I am just as excited as I would be with anyone else's kid. I mean who cares if her daughter did this now and other kids may have done it a while ago, who cares?? It's awesome when kids learn something new!! Every kid learns at their own pace.
So I'm not sure how to handle this situation. I don't want to confront her, because seriously, how would that look. lol. "Hey, I just wanted to let you know if you feel insecure about her achievements please don't because I am proud of your daughter no matter what" I mean that looks terrible, the only reason I know is because she told a friend of mine and my friend told me (which I got mad at her for, I mean we're not in junior high here). So I mean, I'm not even supposed to know, but now that I do - I just feel tactless and rude every time I talk about my daughter.
I know it's silly but seriously has anyone else gone through this? Or had anyone treat you bad because your child was advanced? I have people who are snotty to me and treat me like I am one of those parents that force their child to learn and are crazy about it.
UGH I just wish everyone would chill out about it all.
MS - She IS insecure. That's what I said. Our mutual friend told me that she told her that.
Denise- That's exactly what I'm saying! That's why I am saying, who cares. Because one day she could be ahead of my daughter, or else my daughter could be book smart and hers could be a friggin sports champion! Who knows, who cares? Either way we should be happy!
And to whoever said to stop posting it on Facebook, I have family on Facebook that like to hear the new things she does everyday. It's not like I'm directly going to my friend and saying all this stuff all the time. Most of the time she is hearing it from someone else, or we are in a group setting and someone asks me, or she reads it on FB. It makes her feel bad and I'm not sure if by knowing that it makes her feel bad if that makes me tactless by continuing to post this stuff, even though I'm really not supposed to know that she feels bad about it.
Also, she is not perfect, and I never said she was, and she has things that she is not good at, and i talk about that as well.
That's EXACTLY the attitude I'm talking about!! Everyone assumes that I am bragging or being a snot, when I talk about my kid as much as any other mom does, it's not my fault that she is ahead right now!! If my child was behind or normal, it would be alright for me to talk about my child?

THANK YOU :D
my fiance rear ended the back of a car on his way to take our daughter to school. He is not covered under my insurance so the accident is my resposibility and my insurance does not cover collision if he was driving. The girl who got her car hit is young and had minor scratch but that was all. My fiance says he will pay the amount of what it costs to repair but the girl who he hit boyfriend called saying that when she gets her car repaired than she is going to take out a rental car and we will have to pay for it until her car is out of the shop. Are you kidding me? Can they really do that? we are paying for the damages but her car had a scratch they can really take out a rental car and charge us for it?
Hi i need abit of advice with my 1 year old daughter. I am struggling to get her to eat dinners and even some times lunches. Personally t think she's abit young to be getting fussy already. Or are most one year olds like this? She is my first but dont want her to become fussy, i know she's not going to like everything, but she wont even touch the things i know she likes.
Any advice will be appreciated!!
My aunt was always there for me when I was little, and she had 3 sons and no daughters so I was always like her daughter. Now that I've gotten older we're still close and I see her like a friend as well as an aunt. I want her to be my matron of honor and my cousin who is still single to be my maid of honor. My cousin is still pretty young so my aunt would be much more of a help that my cousin (because my cousin won't help plan the bridal shower and things like that). I'm pretty sure it's okay to have both, but then what about the best man? Would my FH have two best men or what?
Hope this goes well! And feel free to add as many details or pictures as you like!
You marry your high school sweetheart a few months after you both graduate from college. What are your names and where do you get married?
After your honeymoon you both start your dream jobs. Where do each of you work?
A few years down the road, when you're both about 25, you decide you want to start trying for kids. After 3 months of trying you are blessed with a pregnancy. You give birth to a happy, healthy little girl. You want to give her a name that means happy because of all the joy she's put in your life and you also want to name her after your mother who passed away when you were younger. What do you name her?
When your daughter is two and a half you think it's about time to start trying again. After 6 months of trying you are doubly blessed with twins. Nine months later you give birth to fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. You want them to have names that have something in common, either the same letter or meaning, both unisex or the same middle name. What do you name them?
When the twins are 3 your little family is quite happy and content with the five of you but your husband would like to try for just one more boy. You being trying and become pregnant almost instantly. Surprise! it's twins again, a boy and a girl. This time around you want their names to be completely different and unique. Their first names cannot be on the SS top 100 name list and their middle names are after somebody important to you.
When your youngest twins are 4 your husband gets a job transfer. Where do you move to and what kind of house do you move into?
Your new life is working out well and you decide the kids are old enough for a pet. What do you get and what is its name?
So all in all, what is everyone's name?
Our names are Teresa and Justin Mickel. We get married on Mackinac Island.
I work as a NICU nurse in the local hospital and he is a manager of a major store.
Our daughter's name is Felicity Ann. (Felicity means happy and my mother's middle name is Ann).
Our twins are Jordan Michael and Bailey Nicole. (Both unisex first names).
Our next children's name are Nolan Edward and Amalia Joyce. (Edward after my father and Joyce after his grandmother).
We move to Boston Massachusetts and into a nice, old colonial.
We get a female cocker spaniel and name her Jinger.
So our family is Teresa, Justin, Felicity, Jordan, Bailey, Nolan and Mali.
My sister divorced her husband when their daughter was around 3. The father "Bill" is still upset about this and moved to another state. He doesn't keep in touch w/ child (now 8). But the mom is always buying birthday &Christmas gifts for their daughter acting like it's from the dad.
Do you think this is a good decision? The kid is young now, but soon won't she wonder why she hasn't seen or spoken to her dad, but he is sending her gifts? I think it will hurt this child in the long run. I'm not a parent so maybe I don't fully understand the situation.
but the problem is we don't know where he is. he was in North Carolina for a while but all the #'s have been disconnected. He is an alcoholic loser so he could be anywhere.
I've been married to my husband for 3 years and we have a 13 month old daughter.
Up until about a week ago everything was fine. Of course, we had our bumps like every other couple, but we always work it out without fail. And just like most young married couples we've been having communication issues for a while. I almost never tell him when something is bothering me because he has a tendency to overreact and get defensive and he never tells me when something is bothering him because he thinks I'm going to get mad. A couple of weeks ago the tension kind of blew up and we got in the worst fight in the world. After the initial outburst, we calmed down and tried to talk rationally. We'd made up, but there was still some tension between us. A couple of days after the fight he went to London with some of his friends to go to a Patriot's football game (he's in the US military and we live overseas right now). Apparently, he was still upset with me and had way too many drinks with his friends. He admitted to me that he came very close to cheating on me. Apparently he took some random bar chick to his hotel room. Luckily, he has really good friend and one of them followed him to see what he was doing. He admitted that had his friend not followed him we would be in an entirely different ball game.
Now....we've NEVER had an infidelity issue before. I've always been able to trust him because he has never given me any reason not to. It is so obvious from the agony in this eyes that he is genuinely sorry for what he did. He pretty much got on his knees and begged for my forgiveness. And I have forgiven him, simply because I've always been able to trust him to tell me the truth. But I have made it very clear to him that he's lost my trust and he's gonna have to work his a$$ off to earn it all back. The last couple of days have been pretty good and we're working on our communication issues and things seem to be getting back on track. We realize that it's a continual process that we're gonna have to keep at. Have I done the right thing? Besides leaving him (I don't believe in divorce unless there is absolutely nothing else the couple can do to fix the relationship) what could I have done differently?
Sorry, I have no idea how this ended up in the parenting section. I was aiming for marriage and divorce O_O
Thank you MegaBeth. When we stood at the alter I said "for better or for worst" and I meant that. Even thought this is definitely a "worst" I'm not gonna leave him. Marriage is sacred to me and I hate the way it's being tossed around these days.
Umm, I'm writing like a novel/book in my spare time just for fun...compared to other writers I am quite young [I'm 12], but do you think this is okay for the opening of a story? I was just thinking there may be too much speech...=/ Tell me what you think, thank you in advance :)

As Beatrice trudged her way along the long, narrow alleyway meandering its’ way through some of the apartment blocks in the Northern-London area, she began to realise how exhausted she was, and how relieved that it was finally Friday. God, days go by like months in my life, she thought, its’ going to be a l-o-n-g time until I finally die. Fifteen years she had lived, and already she had seen the potential of a life’s outcome: a dark, empty nothingness. She turned round the corner, and held her breath while passing the filthy dustbins, which gave off a loathsome stench that wanted to make her gag. She fiddled around her rotten blazer pockets to find her flat key, and when she did, the door had already been opened.
“You said you would pick me up,” she announced.
“I told you, Bea, we can’t afford gas for the car…” her dad responded, as he breathed out heavily, from his cigarette.
“Mhm, however you can afford these?” she said, raising her eyebrows as she snatched the cigarette from her father and stubbed it out on her blazer.
“Yeah well…” he murmured, as he caught her daughter’s schoolbag that she had thrown at him.
“Good day at school?” he asked, hopefully.
“Nah…did you get the call from them? They expelled me,” she uttered, entering the kitchen.
“What!? That’s’ the fifth school this year, Bea…”
“You didn’t know, then? Just shows what a pathetically organised school they really are,” she smiled, sarcastically.
“They’re the only school left in this area that actually accepted you!” he cracked open two cokes from the fridge, and passed one to Bea.
“School-smools, for what I’m going to turn out like, a shop check-out lady or a hooker, you don’t need an education…”
“Look Bea…You’re a clever girl…” he started.
“Yeah, I guess I do work hard for my average Cs’” she rolled her eyes.
“I mean…you have great potential to lead a good life…” he hugged his daughter.
“Uh…dad? Hair…hair,” her hands wavered protectively over her dark-brown hair.
“Ah sorry…now…go do your homework” he kissed her on the forehead.
“I’m expelled, remember?” she pulled a cheeky grin, and after her father had given her a weak smile back, she trekked upstairs to her room.
Ten o’clock on Saturday morning. Beatrice was woken by the sound of egg’s frying and spitting downstairs, and her dad swearing loudly for a reason unknown to her yet. After procrastinating to herself about getting out of bed or not, and staring at the ceiling for a while [which worryingly had damp patches on it near the edges], she heaved herself out of her bed. The floorboards creaked gently as she crossed the room to her mirror. She groaned as she wiped away the leftover mascara she hadn’t taken off properly last night, and stared at herself through her emerald eyes. She saw a girl…about 5.7ft staring back at her in a dark-grey bedroom, which had been decorated with black floral patterns. Her dark hair was messy in the early morning way, and her skin was smooth, totally spotless unlike the average teenager. After she had run a brush through her hair a couple of times she grabbed her vintage jacket and fumbled down the stairs sleepily.

Do You have them when You sleep a certain way?
Whenever I have them I usually wake up on My side usually the left side.
I had this 1 where I tried to open My eyes and I did except the Nightmare kept going on and I really didn't have My eyes open at all. I remember Yelling and trying to reach out and hit My Daughter's Mother to get Her to wake Me up.
When I was little,I also had this Nightmare about the little TROLL from the movie CATSEYE when I was Younger and it was in My closet and I jumped down like 10 stairs to escape.

Ohh, and I'm twelve :)
I'm pretty sure it started with an A, and it came out within the last 8 years. It's about a wealthy family who's oldest daughter falls in love with the gardener, but the younger sister is jealous and lies about the boy raping the cousin. So the gardener is sent to prison and to get out of prison he goes to fight in the war (think it's world war II).
I am a 21 yr old mother of 2 . My daughter is 2 and my son is 3 months old. Since I got married young and had kids young I wasn't able to continue my Ed. as fast as I would like to. I am onli half way done with my A.S. degree as on now. It's not easy studying w/ a toddler and newborn and taking care of household duties at the same time and on top of tht studying.
I feel like I really wont be able to complete my studies as fast as I shuld be Until both kids start going to school fll time. And tht won’t be until the next 4 years. I am really interested in going to Optometry school. And it takes about 7 years. Complete. If I start after 4 years, I will be 32-33 years old when I’m done. Is tht too old? And pls optometry school is hard work, is it going to be possible w/ taking care of kids and a home?
My other option is dietics. It only takes 4 years to complete.
Has anyone been in this situation or have an wise advice. I’m really confused between what I reall want to be (optometrist) bt don’t know if I can pll it off and what I can become easily but don’t know whether I would enjoy the job much.
A few years ago my three daughters and myself all got the flu shot. Guess what - two of my daughter's got the flu anyway - the doctors said that it was a different strain from the flu shot strain we got. Since then I haven't gotten them anymore flu shots (they are up-to-date on all of their current immunizations though) and none of them have had the flu. Now b/c of the Swine Flu scare, should I get my children and myself a Swine Flu vaccine or the regular flu vaccine? My oldest daughter takes allergy injections weekly (nasal allergies) and is rarely sick, and my youngest daughter suffers with chronic sinus and allergy problems and will probably end up taking allergy shots too.
Hey everybody,
Guys my age don't like me romantically. I am 18, but I tend to mother my friends who are girls. And sometimes the guys in my age range. Mostly because they blow things out of proportion. I continually get asked if my 16 yr old bro is my son. I am not overweight (I've heard that makes you look older) and I am not stuck up. I tend to go for older guys because they make more sense and they know what they are all about. I'm still figuring myself out; I don't really want to raise a boyfriend. I'm mature. I'm smart. So how can I get an older mature guy to ask me out? But not a creepy kind. I flirt with older guys (and a few younger ones if they start it), but once they know my age they back off. I buried my question: How can I get an older, mature guy to ask me out?
Thanks,
C
P.S. I live with my parents so they would have to meet my dad and have the whole bring-my-daughter-back-like-she-left talk and be cool with it. Thanks!
Ok so today I had set Mollie and Kara (CARE-uh) (our twins) down on this little rug in our house and my step daughter came up and said "Mommy Baby Hungry"? and before I could answer she came running with their bottles and gave them to me. I said Thanks Sammy and she asked me if she could help change the baby's diaper. So the rest of the day when diapers would need to be thrown away I would say "Diaper Genie" and Samantha would come running
Have your kids ever done any thing to help with there younger siblings? I thought it was so cute
True story, I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many pleasant views of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else. One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door.
I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family."
The moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car.
I have a six year old daughter with my ex. When we seperated when she was 18 months old I moved interstate with her WITH HIS PERMISSION (however was young and naive and didn't get it in writing) anyway I took her back to visit him twice and she spend 5 days with him each time. WHen she was 2 and a half he had a son with his partner at the time and stopped contacting her altoghether. 2 weeks befor her 5th birthday he got in touch with me asking to see her and i said yep no problem. He came and saw her for 2 days 12 months ago and hasn't been back since. I have made every effort to encourage him to come and establish a relationship with her and he hasn't done it. Now all of a sudden he is claiming i didn't have his permission and wants her to go interstate half of all school holidays. My argument is he need to establish a relationship with her before he can expect her to go interstate to stay with him which she of course doesn't want to do but would like to see him and get to know him here first. She is only 6. Plus i am also concerned that when he came here he uploaded a half naked photo of my minor child onto his facebook page ( completely inappropriate ).
My main question is whether the court will see the fact that he never seeked to have me bring our daughter back to the state however was in contact with us for a 12 month period after we moved so knew where we were as being proof that I had his permission?

My mum has gone through so much in her life.
Here are a highlights of her life.
1. Her sister died in a car crash when mum was only young. She left behind two children, and was pregnant another. The baby inside the woman servied and was the first australian baby to be born from a dead mother.
-The grandparents were ill and the father had re-married. The kids were going to go to foster homes, so my mum as a late teenager moved to the home we still currently live in (shes been here for 30 years)and raised the kids. She had met my dad at that time and he moved with her.
My dad was an abusive alcoholic, who unfortunetly would be very violant towards them all.
Mum had my sister and I to him. He was also violent towards us.
In one of his drunk rants, he burnt down a shed that was once in our backyard. alot of damage was done to our house on his behalf.
in 1992, when we're all young, my dad was walking home drunk from a pub and couldnt perseive how fast a car was travelling and he was hit and killed. This was traumatic for all involed.
A few years later debt collectors came to my now widdowed mum (single income family) and mum was now reliable to pay off all his debts.
a few years after that I was diognosed with epilespy and duplux kidneys. I spent most of my time in hospitals, at neuroligists and with surgeons to fix the problem. (this was between the ages of 5 to 8). This was all fixed due to my mums kind nature and wanting to see me happy that she spent more money then she earnt on making me better.
Jenny (one of the three kids mum adopted) was often moving in and out of home whenever her relationships would fail. Another person for mum to take care of.
At the age of 13 I was deeply depressed and put in sycology, this again, was paid for by my mum.
I became suicidal and developed a drug addiction that caused me to loose a significant amount of weight rapidly and I would run away from home weeks on end. No one ever thought I was going to come good, mum would never give up on me.
She got me through it. unforutnely this meant ringing police, arresting me and admitting me to hospital for help. I am not on anti-depressents and still working with my sycologist (still at mums expense)
As I had made such a mess of school, they asked me to leave at the end of year 10. My future wasn't looking very bright. I'd picked up a part time job at a coffee shop and had now replaced drugs with alcohol. I was diognosed as an alcoholic (a nightmare as you can imagine for mum). I am now working through this
A few years later and Jenny (the middle daughter mentioned earlier) had moved to america with her new husband. mum had taken mortgages out against our home so we could go visit her, TWICE as she had post-natal depression after having her children. We flew over to see her (at mums expense) and had to prepeare ourselves to admit her to hospital. luckly, from the help of mum, Jenny pulled through and being admitted was not needed.
She still sends $100s of dollars worth of presents to the family overseas to make them feel like we haven't forgoten them.
Mum helped me get into a business college in 2007 so I could do something with my life. She paid for text books, weekly train tickets, uniforms etc all to ensure that I could attend each week. It's the best thing I've ever done for my life.
She is now 56 years of age, and all she wants to do is retire. She is still single and can't afford to. She has lived in this same house for 30 years and im sorry to say it but its getting old and run down. We have half an achor of land in the backyard that if i had the money to do it up for her I would.
unfortunetly we can't even afford a new lounge that we ever so despritley need. We really live off the bair minimum
within this time, although I have put my mum through alot, she has let two of my friends live with us due to domestic problems of their own as she would hate to turn her back on a needing person. thats just the kind of person she is. Pleasssseeee think of my mum, she's the most amazing woman you wil ever meet!
I have this friend that was hosting a Children Halloween party and they have 4 younger children, and an individual who had the H1N1 Virus showed up and did not tell them and now their two youngest daughters have it and the one is under the age of two and now doctors are worried and treating her as a server case. The parents are wanting to know if there is anything they can do besides now having to pay for an outragous doctor bill do to another parents incompatence and putting another 18 children at risk.
The party was held were the now 2 sick young children live. The parent of the sick child that attended the party was aware of her child having the virus and still knowingly brought her sick child, and to contract the swine flu a person has to be coughed on or sneezed on, and she was the only one who they have been in contact with that has the H1N1 Virus. Also the virus has been more fatal to children under the age of 2 looked that up at the CDC website.
ok, so my daughter wants a puppy, and i would love to get her one, but i have 11 other kids and i know, they will annoy her and if i could get her 1 it would be just for her, the thing is, i cant really afford to get her one, its not just the buying cost, but the spaying, shots, food, toys etc she has wanted a dog, for ever and it would mean so much to her and to me, i have to stay at home to look after the kids and my husband has a minimum wage job (he lost his job) i know it would mean so much to her, but i cant explain to her that we cant afford it, she's quite young. i am very upset and how could i explain this to her,
Ok.... to make a long story very short (and legal to mention)..........
A woman was arrested for (accidentally) shooting her mother (attempted murder), convicted, and sentenced to 40 years.
She meant to shoot (in defense) her father for trying to 'mess' with her young daughter, after he 'messed' with the woman.
None of this 'messing' was mentioned in the trial!!
Why did the courts not let the jury hear what really happened?
Why was she charged with attempted murder and not attempted manslaughter?
Why such the harsh sentence?
Thanks!!

been dating a great guy for a year. we each have children from previous relationships, and everyone gets along well. we have talked privately about eventually moving in together, but in the meantime we are both fine with the status quo as is. both of us had been extremely hurt by our previous relationships, so neither of us is in a rush to get married again. it's not one of the "untouchable" topics, but we don't in general discuss this since it's not a big thing. i don't want to assume that he'd eventually ask to marry me, & it's a bit premature this early in our relationship to think about anyway.
thing is, my nephew's wedding will be in the spring and my niece just got married last fall...both memorable occasions for my 5 yr old who now has a preoccupation for weddings and marriage on the brain.
she is young and still trying to feel out the dynamics of relationships in general. occasionally she brings up the whole married thing, asking when we'll be getting married or telling us what life will be like after we get married & she finally has sisters. (he has three young daughters just a bit older than mine.)
it's not exactly embarrassing when she asks these questions, but it can be a little uncomfortable when she doesn't drop it right away. i'm not really sure what to say to her when she brings it up other than the standard answer i give of "we are good friends who love each other very much. but if we ever decide to get married, it won't be for a long long time."
any ideas on how to deal with her natural curiosity?
*raises hand*
I'm guilty he's very handsome he's my teacher & he looks very young when he really has a daughter around my age >.>
The genre of my story is teen drama. The story is similar to shows like Gossip Girl, 90210, 7th Heaven, Melrose Place, One Tree Hill, Degrassi, and South of Nowhere. Also a little bit of Dawson's Creek here and there. Of course I'm not going to use the exact same ideas from the shows lol. I'm going to start off by posting info about the female characters. Here is some info about some of the female characters(I don't exactly have every character figures out yet).
1)Deanna Santos: The main protagonist. She in a sense is a tougher version of 90210 characters Brenda Walsh, Kelly Taylor, Valerie Malone, and Naomi Clark, Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf, and Degrassi characters Alex Nunez, Manny Santos, and Mia Jones. She is the spoiled rich girl who has a job at as a waitress/busgirl despite having all the money in the world she could wish for. She is a teen mom of a 2 year old girl and also aspires to be an actress. She is also very bitchy, scheming, manipulative, haughty, and somewhat controlling but at the same time has a nice and caring side. Several aspects of her personality are introduced throughout the story such as self esteem, monogamy, and social power. She was molested by her father and older brother. Her brother had recently committed suicide because he felt there was nothing to live for after the abuse he put Deanna through. The abuse Deanna is put through leads to a promiscuous lifestyle. She also has a complicated relationship with her mother who has been in and out of rehab due to drug use and alcoholism and who's also a spoiled rich woman herself. Deanna doesn't get along to well with her stepmother who refuses to believe her dad molested her. She temporarily becomes addicted to coke which almost costs Deanna her daughter. After getting out of rehab, she becomes pregnant again. Her second pregnancy makes her realize that she needs to change sooner rather than later.
2)Janice Santos: The mother of Deanna. A mini version of Jackie Taylor from 90210. She has been in and out of rehab several times due to alcohol and drug addiction. Her disturbing behavior causes Deanna to run away and sleep in a shelter. Later on, Janice becomes sober for the last time when she contracts HIV from shooting up and tries to mend the broken relationship with her children.
3)Trinity Santos: The younger sister of Deanna. A mini version of 7th Heaven characters Ruthie and Lucy Camden. She is shown to be overly dramatic, selfish, spoiled, and very nosy(likes to eavesdrop on Deanna's conversations) which puts her and Deanna at odds with each other most of the times. But overall they have a good sibling relationship. Her freshman year in high school is a rough year for her. She ends up with a bad reputation after a sex tape runs rampant of her around the school.
4)Bianca McKay: The main antagonist. A mini version of 90210 characters Valerie Malone and Emily Valentine, Gossip Girl character Georgina Sparks, and Degrassi character Holly J Sinclair. She is Deanna's biggest rival. Her main goal is to make Deanna the social outcast which she later achieves. She is much more manipulative and scheming than Deanna. She is shown to be a liar, user, cheater, and gold digger. She has lied to her long time boyfriend numerous times to keep him from leaving her. The biggest lie she told him was that she's pregnant. She even wears a pillow under her shirt to make people believe she is pregnant. Later on when secrets of her past are revealed, she wants to redeem herself and become a better person.
5) Bridget Middleton: A mini version of 90210 character Donna Martin and Degrassi characters Darcy Edwards, Paige Michalchuk, and Hazel Aden. She is teased constantly because of her decision to remain a virgin due to her mother's strict religious rules. She dates various guys and also gets into an abusive relationship. Later on she gets raped and contracts an STD which causes her to show a darker and rebellious side of her.
6)Tiffani Malone: A mini version of 90210 characters Kelly Taylor and Valerie Malone and Melrose Place characters Ella and Violet. She is often the sex kitten when she feels it's necessary and tends to be omnisexual. She is also deeply into fashion. She has a nice and bad side and is also on and off friends with Deanna. Like Bianca, secrets of her past are later revealed.
7)Annie Strode: A mini version of Gossip Girl character Jenny Humphrey. She desperately wants to fit into Deanna's clique and is forced to do a lot of "chores" for Deanna as well as do things she normally doesn't do like drinking and going out late. She also dates Deanna's younger brother Luis. Their relationship ends when it is discovered that he's gay. She agrees to be cover up until he's ready to come out but breaks it off with him when she learns he doesn't plan on coming out.
That's all I have for now. Sorry if some of the characters seemed short. Let me know which of the female characters you like and don't like. I will post info on so
I know this is not a newborn and baby question but I always get really good answers here and either get goofy or very few answers in other sections... and would not know where to post this anyway...
So... A few nights ago I found out that my friend from all the way back to high school had been taken to court because he was in possession of child pornography on his computer.
I was SHOCKED! Then I found out he plead GUILTY. He gets sentenced in November and could serve up to 10 years in jail and pay as much as $250,000. He has a 5 year old daughter. He is such a GREAT dad. He spends all his free time with her, he adores her and she adores him! He has her more often then her mother does and has been there for her more than her mother.
She is a happy kid and he is a good dad... And I feel so bad for her that this is going on. And I never ever once felt he were capable of abusing her and still don't.
Now, I thought I knew him. I can see in him that he is not a bad person, I found him to be very kind mostly. He may be perverted and disgusting but I do not feel he has a bad heart and a bad soul.
Is that wrong of me to still feel he is not a bad person but just did a bad thing?
He was my best bud for the longest time, like a brother. We got out first jobs together, we drove to school together, we hung out at school and tried to get all the same classes, we hung out after school. And when I had no where to go when I was 15, he convinced his mother to take me in for a year! I never once suspected or sensed he could be capable of that.
He did not tell me himself what happened. I found out from a friend. And he has not talked to me since it happened so I have not been able to ask him what was going on...
Anyway, I'm feeling really let down. I can't help but hope that he has some other explination like he is covering for his brother who I find really creepy...
I also was told that it was illegal child pornography but it was not little kids. It was like 16 and 17 year olds, they were minors and he was 24 at the time so it's still wrong and perverted but I would have been even more disgusted if it had been little kids...
Also, he was not the one who made the porno and did not star in the porno. I think it was something he downloaded.
Anyway, I'm wondering if it were your good friend would you ever forgive them? Would you find it any less worse that it was older teens and not young children? Would you lift a finger to help them out at all?
Mostly I feel so bad for his daughter. I hope no one told her what he did. And even though what he did was wrong and I feel he must pay in some way I can't help but feel for her sake it would be better if he did not go to prison. I just don't know where she will go if he does.
I've been feeling really cra.ppy the last few days... It's just not something I expected from him....
Anyway opinions would be great... Thanks!
I'm glad I am not the only one who feels that way... I was feeling like a bad person for not despising him and wanting to crucify him like everyone else in his life!
Mean peple suck... I agree, my mother was preschool age when my father was in college...
I was just so surprised because he never struck me as one to lust after minors...

While I was cleaning my computer this morning I found that my husband was searching and watching father-daughter taboo porn! Or mother-son porn! I have a parental program to monitor my children's internet acitvities and everything was documented in the program.
We have 2 teenage children, daughter of 15 and a son of 13!
I'm very worried now about my daughter! Am I overreacting?
If not....Does anyone know of any numbers I can contact and speak to about my problem?
My husband has always been cold sexually and not interested and that didn't really bother me all these years but I'm now very scared that he might do something to our daughter!
What should I do?
Ive seen lots of parents obsess over their teenager's virginity. They become more upset seeing their kid have sex than they do if they see their kid drinking or doing drugs.
I don't want answers related to religion e.i. "it is a sin" i want factual logical answers to why it is such a taboo. I also do not want answers related to pregnancy or STDs; if teenagers are having sex they should use protection, and a parent with any sense of raising children should tell them about protection.
I've heard of a dad beating a kid who had sex with his daughter. Even with the daughter's consent the father was enraged enough to hurt some innocent kid who didn't do anything to harm his daughter. This is just one example, but why are people so worried about sex?
A cousin of mine was slapped by her father for liking a non Chinese guy and for f sakes, she is 21 years-old. My aunt seems heart broken too since her daughter likes a non Chinese. I just wonder why a lot of my older relatives think loving someone of another ethnicity is taboo. They say things like we won't be happy, we destroy our culture, or have ugly babies. Yeah but they have no proof to justify all of this.
I love someone who isn't of my ethnicity or race and I've been open about it. Good thing so far no one has said anything bad otherwise I won't allow it. Wanna share your opinion or experience? You can vent too if you want, I just think this is messed up for my cuz.
comment.
Marv asked if I was nursing my 6 month old daughter. I told him yes, and my mom said "let's not get into that" I told Marv and Bob, "my mom thinks it's barbaric" Marv proceeded to say "it's pretty much a natural action"
And my mom said "I don't even like people knowing she does that"
With that, the conversation was dropped.
This makes me so uneasy, there is something really strange. It makes me worry that perhaps there is some terrible secret. A molestation secret or something. Why would my mother think something is so taboo? There has been many strange comments from her, and growing up in her home everything was taboo.
Her and my father are the only two living at home now, their kids are grown, and my mother still puts parental blocks on certain cable tv channels!
Anyone have any experience with someone who acts so strange? Is there any explanation behind it?
I am really, well... into my dad. But it's taboo to have any kind of relationship thats more than father daughter. What should I do?
The idea is that if she already knows what a penis looks like, then it won't seem like something taboo when she becomes a teenager. We all know that teenagers want to do everything they aren't supposed to and a lot of times sex starts because kids are curious. We think that if we're very open about the subject, then she won't think its a big deal. Or she might end up doing it earlier. We aren't sure. She is just a baby right now, so it doesn't matter to her if I bathe her or daddy does. But soon she'll start realizing mommy and daddy look different.
THANK YOU MiDNIGHT... sorry I missed the rest of your name. But I agree! Showers are NOT sexual unless you make them sexual. Naked bodies are not sexual unless you make them that way! I just think that she should be comfortable with the differences in males and females and both being nude. I don't mean force her to shower with her father, but not be like "oh no you can't see your father naked, he's a boy and you're a girl" that just makes it more taboo
sexual relations between certain or close relatives, in human societies(incest taboo)
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI, pronounced "eeksee"[1] or "icksy"[2]) is an in vitro fertilization procedure in which a single sperm is injected directly into an egg.
(is sperm injection)
My question is, what if the father will give sperm to her daughter then it will make a life... it will consider as INCEST TABOO?
i know this is less sense but i just curious and wanna know some of your ideas,,, thank you.
i dont have like that relationship with my relatives or i mean a very closer to me.... i just ASK! what if it will be happen?
and we know everything impossible will be possible to whom who wanted for.... to the person who think my question is very stupid (you have little mind and very low in realization of things....)well if people who have open minded will learn a lot.. thanks for those who appreciate my question.
I married at 18 and divorced at 23 and have a beautiful daughter from that relationship that is now 15yrs old. I mention this because that is my primary reservation when considering dating this man.
My brother is 24 and currently engaged with a 40yr old woman who has an 11year old son that adores him and calls him Dad. My parents who have been married 42 years and very old fashioned, were extremely accepting of his choice, so I hope they would feel the same with me.
I just turned 33 on Dec 29th and am being persued by a 21 year old man. He says his family and friends won't mind. I've never done this before and never thought I would.
I'm usually mistaken for being in my mid twenty's, even my daughter's band teacher assumed I was my daughter's sister when I volunteered for a field trip. He looks older also because he is almost a foot taller than me and carries himself in a mature manner..
We have been developing a friendship first, and I promised him I'd keep an open mind. I enjoy our five hour conversations on every topic, and my Good morning text message telling me to have a good day at work. He's very intelligent, has a good job as a health care provider, and is fun to be around. I own my home and have a good career, and am young at heart. If my daughter wasn't still at home I wouldn't hesitate to give him a try. She still has a regular relationship with her father so she's not looking for a step dad with any age man I chose to bring home...but I don't want her to feel uncomfortable. I don't think her peers or society would notice on less we told them, so I don't see that as an issue. I'm not delusional enough to think I look 21, but I think he looks older and I look younger so the gap narrows and isn't too noticeable.
Most say the child bearing problem is the biggest issue in May/Dec romances...but if it were to get to that level with any age man I chose to be with, I'd be willing to have another child and I feel as if I'm still of childbearing age. My mom had my brother at 38.
So....What's the verdict???
Ok so for starters i'm not pregnant, but me and my boyfriend talk about our futrue kids names. we have three boy names: Alexander Michael, Nathaniel James, and Jason Edward, but we cant seem to agree on a little girls name. i like to have things kind of in mind and i was wondering if it would be completely taboo ( i dont know if that's the right word) if we were to decide to name our daughter my first name. i really like my name and he had always considered naming a daughter Jacklyn before he met me. It's not like when a boy has his father's name to pass it down or anything, it's just we both like the name and he's so picky about them... She wouldnt have my middle name it would be Elizabeth Clara (her middle name will be that regaurdless of what her first name may end up being after two really special family members) if that makes a difference...so i was just wondering what people thought about it. Please no rude or preaching answers. Thanks in advance
I think so because you are doing things that you would never do in real life...that's what makes it arousing and exciting.
Here are some examples:
Father/Daughter
Mommy/son
wife with another man
wife with another woman
rape
Do you concur?
To find incestuous love stories intriguing or erotic? Perhaps the intrigue is in the taboo or the type of intimacy already reached?
This could be sister/brother, father/daughter, father/son, etc.
I think it would be erotic in hypothetical situations (like myths and stories), but in reality quite disturbing...
My fiance and i are figuring out what role we want our son to have for our wedding. he's only going to be a little over 2 1/2 at our wedding, and we want to incorporate him.
I was thinking of walking down the aisle with my dad on one arm and my son on the other... or having the maid of honor walk up with him so me and my dad can have the traditional father daughter thing, or just have my mom or my fiance's parents hold him during the ceremony (Catholic Mass, approx. 1 hour) because he's little and might get cranky... Any thoughts?
Also, for the reception, we were thinking of getting a sweetheart table with our son at it to symbolize the union of not only husband and wife, but our duties of parents. Is it taboo to sit with your son at your own wedding?
How did you/would you ladies do it?
Any 2 cents would be appreciated : )
We wanted to incorporate him in the mass itself, but other than ring bearer, the Catholic church won't let us, they also don't allow unity candles because it doesn't represent the right message of the Catholic church.
On a forum for girls to get advice from parents there was a man who claims to be a high school teacher, softball coach and father of 3 from PA who really creeped me out. The 1st thing that worried me was when I made the huge mistake of posting my pic & he said that I had "drop dead georgous eyes" (his misspelling) & that all I would ever need to do is "bat them" to get out of any trouble. I thought it was REALLY inappropriate for a 45 yr old man to say that to a 16 yr old girl. That's not what really freaked me, though. It was that on numerous posts he wrote that he would spank his teenage daughter on her bare bottom. (seriously) I immediately thought he was a perv w a spanking fetish and was outraged he was on the forum. He wrote a post to me that ppl define "normal" based on their own reality, & implied that it was because I'm from LA where spanking is taboo that I was so weirded out. He said I was so intelligent, insightful & all kinds of other nice things. Please see add'l details
And for a while he was able to convince me that maybe I was crazy to think he was a sexual predator.
I then did a yahoo search of his user name, and found all these stories he’d written about spanking kids. He tries to paint a dad who beats his kids until their legs start to spasm, and who gets sexually aroused while spanking his teenage daughter bare bottom over his lap as being Norman Rockwell-like. When I read the stories I literally threw up on my laptop.
Am I over reacting to think that he is a pedophile? I don’t know whether everything he has written is fictional, or if he really does spank his kids even though he clearly has a major spanking fetish. Am I the only one that thinks a teenage girl should never, ever be spanked on her bare bum by her dad?? (or anyone)
I am really worried that he could be molesting his kids & manipulating them into believing that it’s “normal.” It really sickens me to think that he might really be a teacher & coach. This forum is NOT an adult forum. There are loads of girls there who have their pics posted & share all kinds of details like where they go to school & live.
My parents would freak if they knew I’d been on a forum w this man. Could some other parents please give me advice? Should I report him? If so….how? I printed all his posts.
today i am going to a bbq at my bf's house. his parents only recently started accepting the fact that we're in love & going to stay together & we've been together almost a year. (i'm divorced & because of their culture, thats taboo. even tho he's divorced too, it doesnt help me at all. he also has 2 young daughters that love me & his parents think i am going to take them and their son away & they'll never see them again.) anyway, they are from italy, like actually all born & raised there & i decided i would bring a bottle of his fathers fav pino grigio, santa margherita. but, i want to try and make a good impression, and yes, suck up a bit, and i bought a bottle of banfi prosecco also. for any of you who know, should i bring the prosecco, or should i not? would it be inappropriate for today, or couldn't they just save it for another time? whats the best way to get the parents to say, "i guess she's not so bad. at least she doesnt show up empty handed all the time." is it too much?

After the case from Austria where the father kept his daughter locked up for 24 years and fathered 7 children with her, I did a little research and found that father/daughter incest is far more prevalent than it seems. Most cases never make it to the police (and therefore stay out of the news) but shrinks are dealing with rampant damage because of it. So my question to fathers is: 1) Have you never had any feelings like this? 2) Had them but rejected them on moral grounds? 3) Rejected them on purely legal grounds? 4) Done it anyway?
Were you more afraid of jail than hell?
It was naive of me to expect anyone to answer in the affirmative in an open forum...perhaps for those people it is a question to be considered rather than actually answered.
Anyone who wishes to contact me privately about the matter may do so. All responses will be treated with respect and kept in private.
so...why exactly is it so taboo for teens to have babies in todays society? were the teens more mature 2000 years ago? was it due to life expectancy?
and if GOD really was jesus' father, what does that tell you about his trust in teens?
btw...i have a 14 year old daughter, and trust me, i am not looking to be a grandma anytime soon....i just am curious about this.

I've seen so many post from young girls, moms, and dads confused or scared who come here for answers. Who's comfortable and if so why?
If not is it because you weren't told about them or were lead to think you shouldn't ask? (It was taboo in my days to even talk about such things).
When I asked my mom ?'s she'd say "I'll tell you when your older". My bio father told me about periods while my mom and step-dad didn't say much or nothing. I suffered in silence or heard myths.
My daughters feel comfortable coming to me I guess because I started earlier talking about changes they will have before they happened such as pubic hair, discharge, wiping from front to back to prevent infections, telling them to tell me if they have any burning or itching down below, needing a bra or sports bra. Both daughters were diagnosed at a very early age with ureter reflux and needed to know what was happening to them or why they needed antibiotics every day for over a year. I also read books to my son.
This is a fact but at the same time a taboo. So what actually do you think causes those kind of things in the family?
This question is not meant to offend but a curiosity. I noticed that a lot, and I mean a lot of manga has an element of incest on it. I know it is just a story but something must be motivating a mangaka to inject some incest or even insinuations of incest. I mean, brothers and sisters falling in love with each other, cousins sleeping together, mother and son, father and daughter and including stepsiblings. In other countries, it is a very taboo topic but it seems like it’s almost a requirement to create a manga. Is incest an element that is expected by the reading public? Are there ‘incest fans’? I have always wondered about this.
I have 50\50 custody of her, so I spend 3 to 4 nights with her, every weekend, all weekend. I’d like to stress, I don’t needlessly walk around the house naked, but I sleep naked, I shower naked, I’m naked before I get dressed, I'm naked when I get up to go to the toilet, and have taken showers and baths with my daughter on a normal basis. I don't have a problem with nuidity in the home, and I don't want to teach her that nuidity is taboo either. My question is, at what time is it not appropriate to be naked around her ? ? ?
I told him that even though we are hardy stock and well above average IQ in our mostly Irish, English and Native American family the fact that my daughter chose a Black man as her mate contributed greatly to my grandson's physical prowness. I told him that slaves were kidnapped and sold for their strength and coordination and that because of the beginning taboos and laws against inter-racial relationships, his athletic ability was not watered down by a bunch of inbred cousins of massa's. Before you make the assumption that he is all brawn, no brains, he was not only courted and flown all over the country as a Division 1 Basketball recruit, but he made the National Honor Roll Society and had many academic offers as well. So did his father. Full ride, thanks to keeping the best of both races genes. This was in response to a question he asked me some time ago about why most sport stand-outs are Black. That is when I told him the racists were responsible. You will see him on TV soon.
prettyneka, we share the same Nation of Indian heritage, and in this short space, why would anybody think I have not shared all of my grandsons' heritage with him over the years. He is wise beyond his years and we talk about many things. He had such a lovely childhood that he experienced first confusion, then anger at some people's attitude to him because of his race and my only motive was love for him and fear that anger would spoil his beautiful spirit. I may not have handled it the way another person would have, but it was my intention to point out the foolishness of bigotry and he has never lacked positive support for who he is and his many accomplishments. He teases me about being an old Indian who loves my horse more than I could love a man. Does that make him a bigot, or a young man who has learned to make the most out of a crazy family. Your answer appeals to me most so far. I think you have some understanding of what I am trying to convey. His 18 yrs have been a joy for us.
My daughter's father is Filipino and his family has a serious problem with me and I think it's because I am Black. They have made comments and I wish that she could have a happy well rounded mixed background but it doesnt seem that will happen. I know "Blackapinos" are common but it still seems taboo

Surnames
It would be impossible to give a complete list of Arabic surnames because, due to Arab naming traditions, the number of possibilities is virtually infinite.
There are several of ways in which an Arab is identified. First, he has his own personal name, which can be followed by a name describing his lineage—bin or ibn (son of) followed by his father’s name, e.g., Ahmed bin Yusuf, Ahmed son of Yusuf. Some men with a distinguished lineage may append several generations to their names. Men often use their father’s name as a middle name.
Occasionally, a man may wish to be known as the father of his son, i.e., abu (father of) followed by the son’s name, for example, Mohammed abu Hasim, Mohammed father of Hasim. This is considered an honorific and is often used in place of the given name where there is a taboo against revealing one’s given name.
They also use place names, denoting the person’s, or family’s, place of origin. It can either be his birthplace, or the birthplace of an ancestor that has been handed down through the family. This is the closest they have to an inherited family name. It may also be the last place he lived. Often these place names have the prefix al (from); or the masculine suffix –iyyun, -í (pl.), or feminine –iyyatun, -iyya, added to the place name, e.g., Ismail al Ma’ad or Ismail Ma’adí, Ismail from Ma’ad.
The prefix al is also used to denote the person’s occupation or status.
Nobility is sometimes recognized by a surname preceded by el (the), e.g., Khalil Ali el Sheik, Khalil, of the Sheik Ali family.
A women’s personal name is sometimes followed by bint or ibnat (daughter of). She does not take her husband's family name at marriage, but in formal situations gives her own and her father's names. Women sometimes take a daughter’s name as an honorific, using the prefix umm (mother of), for example, Basma umm Zahra, Basma mother of Zahra. Many girls and women have what appears to be a masculine middle name; it is usually her father’s name.
More examples:
Yasmin bint Salman, Yasmin, daughter of Salman
Yasmin Salman el Sheik, Yasmin daughter of Salman of the el Sheik family
Ali Mohammed al Jubail, Ali, son of Mohammed from Jubail.
i think it's taboo I. it's about incest like a son having sex with his sister and mother and a father on that movie was also having sex with his daughter. it was somewhen filmed in th 80's.
My mum divorced when i was 3, and i havent seen my real dad since. I have never got on with my step father so have never had a fatherly role model in my life. We still see my real dad's mum (my grandma) but the subject is somewhat taboo and has never been mentioned. My mum has always said it would break her heart if i contacted him, as he was not a nice man to her. I have always thought about him, and know that he doesnt live at the other end of the world, but have never spoken about it to my nan etc. I am now in the position where i am now a step father, my daughter is 2 and has never ever seen her biological father, and my fiancee never wants her to. This is making my mental battle worse, as i would never want my daughter to have to search for her biological father, but then again, i would never treat her the way my step father treats me! What would you do?? aaarrghhh!! hehe!

All responses will be treated with respect and kept in private.
so...why exactly is it so taboo for teens to have babies in todays society? were the teens more mature 2000 years ago? was it due to life expectancy?
and if GOD really was jesus' father, what does that tell you about his trust in teens?
btw...i have a 14 year old daughter, and trust me, i am not looking to be a grandma anytime soon....i just am curious about this.
thanks
